Double 2 and Charly Records Launch New YouTube Channel, Building on a Proven Creative Partnership

Amsterdam / London, January 2026 — Dutch media production company Double 2 BV and iconic London-based independent record label Charly Records are joining forces to launch the new official YouTube channel Charly Records, bringing the label’s extraordinary musical legacy to a global digital audience.

The collaboration is a natural next step for two organisations with a longstanding creative relationship. The music documentary Charly 50 tells the story of Charly Records, an independent label founded in 1974 by French music entrepreneur Jean-Luc Young, which gained worldwide fame by breathing new life into forgotten and hard-to-find recordings by artists such as The Yardbirds, The Small Faces, and 13th Floor Elevators. The film premiered at Charly’s anniversary celebration in London and screened at the Music Film Festival in Tilburg.

The partnership has since continued with Immediate 60, a documentary marking the 60th anniversary of Andrew Loog Oldham’s legendary Immediate Records, one of the key labels in the Charly catalogue, featuring artists and insiders reflecting on one of the most colourful chapters in British pop history.

Uploads on the YouTube channel include music videos, archive content, and ongoing releases from Charly’s home to some of the most collectable labels in music, including Immediate Records and BYG Records.

Double 2 BV is a respected media production company that has produced 2 Meter Sessions for nearly 30 years, featuring international acts including Nirvana, Aerosmith, Coldplay, Radiohead, Sheryl Crow, R.E.M., Elvis Costello, and the Foo Fighters, with an archive totalling over 4,000 hours of unique recordings.

Charly Records is a British label specialising in reissued material, home to catalogues including Sun, Immediate, BYG, and Treasure Isle, with artists ranging from Small Faces and Funkadelic to 13th Floor Elevators.

The new YouTube channel is available now at youtube.com/@CharlyRecordsUK.
